The Beasley Multimedia Resource Center supports academic projects within the College of Arts & Sciences. Therefore, priority for use will be given to the following:
- Undergraduate student projects that are required by a course in the College of Arts & Sciences
- Faculty projects that provide significant opportunity for student learning
- Undergraduate student projects supported by a faculty sponsor or supervisor
- Course-based projects involving faculty working across disciplines that provide a significant learning opportunity for students
TRAINING AND USE OF EQUIPMENT:
- OASIS staff will provide training in the use of lab equipment, hardware and software.
FILE STORAGE:
- Users cannot store any files on workstation hard drives, except during work sessions. Under no circumstances are files to be saved to the internal hard drive of any Beasley machine. Files saved in this manner will be deleted without warning.
- Projects may be stored to the Beasley Center server for semester-long retention. We assume no responsibility for data that is lost from the server. Users who are storing to the server are encouraged to backup their own work to personally owned CD or DVD media, or portable external hard drives.
- Work files on the server will be erased at the end of each semester, so users wishing to retain these files should move them onto their personal storage media (CD-R, DVD-R, or portable hard drive) before the end of the semester.
EQUIPMENT CHECK-OUT
- The Beasley Multimedia Resource Center maintains a strict checkout policy. The Center is unable to loan equipment without prior registration from a faculty member in the College of Arts & Sciences.
- All equipment checkouts are for a period of 24 hours with the exception of equipment checked out on a Friday. Friday checkouts are due back in the Beasley Center on the following Monday morning before 12:00pm.
- All equipment is checked out on a first come first served basis. There will be NO RESERVATIONS for equipment.
